An international expert, supporting and empowering mothers of children with disabilities across the globe, to reclaim their identity, health and happiness, letting go of labels and stepping into the women they are meant to be.  Helping forward thinking NHS organisations drop the “cookie cutter” approach to training, development and coaching by empowering teams, embody leading with compassion and humanity while reducing dependency from service users.

Combined a successful 25 year training and development career, 18 years in management with the NHS, with her personal journey of raising her disabled daughter, following her life changing diagnosis of cerebral palsy at 13 months old – Sera knows first-hand what it is like to suddenly have your world change in a heartbeat while being a working mum.

In 2011, Sera fundraised £75,000 in 6 months in order for her daughter to have a life changing operation called Selective Dorsal Rhizotomy in America. Over the years, she has gone on to defy the professionals, who predicted she would not be able to hold a pen and would be confined to a wheelchair for life. Today, having achieved a Law degree and a Masters in International Law, she is living her dream life.

Sera was part of the NHS Steering Group with UK neurosurgeons, NICE, NHS England, and health professionals which resulted in NHS England approving Selective Dorsal Rhizotomy, as a commissioned NHS service for children aged 3-9 with Cerebral Palsy.

An experienced consultant in training, leadership and team development, Sera is commissioned to work with leaders and managers on a strategic level in addition to facilitating bespoke team away days to enable better collaborative working within teams and stakeholders.

She continues to coach and mentor leaders within the NHS who seek her help. Sera was a leading specialist at The Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust in management development, team development and leadership coaching.
