Verna Haywood

Verna Haywood is an Empowerment Coach and Mentor, but it has not always been that way.

At a young age Verna was molested and sexually abused into her teenage and adult years. When Verna was informed, she would be leaving Grenada to live in Trinidad. Verna breathed a sigh of relief; Verna was excited and thought, WOW, finally, a way of escaping being sexually abused had arrived.

How wrong she was!

Verna got married despite knowing the man she was about to marry was not the one for her despite the warning signs!

 To save her life, Verna fled her abusive marriage in Trinidad with just £100 and a suitcase and came to the UK in 1997 determined to be a voice for women in similar situations who have yet to find their strength to take the first step to a new life.

Verna advocates ending violence against women, and her mission is to help 100 million women worldwide find their strength and take their power back.
