Mary Ann Thompson-Frenk, D.D. (h.c.), FRSA – Co-Founder, The Memnosyne Institute

Mary Ann Thompson-Frenk, D.D. (h.c.), FRSA, is an accomplished humanitarian, entrepreneur, and advocate for social responsibility. She was awarded the 2018 Civic Pioneer Award, one of the highest honors Congress grants to U.S. women. As co-founder of The Memnosyne Institute with her husband, Joshua Raymond Frenk, Mary Ann has spearheaded transformative programs. Initiatives like FoodSourceDFW combat food waste, feeding over 5,000 families daily in Dallas, saving over $55 million in food. Additionally, international chapters in Japan, Israel/Palestine, and Mexico support cultural centers for Maya and Toltec communities, with plans for a UK chapter launch.

A celebrated speaker and artist, Mary Ann has addressed global audiences, including the UN and the White House. She negotiated the first alliance in 300 years between the Hopi and Navajo nations and led COVID-19 relief efforts through The Memnosyne Institute’s “Masks for Life” initiative, distributing $246,400 in masks to Indigenous communities. Her leadership extended during the 2021 Texas freeze, securing critical water supplies for the Comecrudo Carrizo Tribe.

Mary Ann champions social responsible investing (SRI) and conscious capitalism. She co-founded UTF Holdings to align with the UN Sustainable Development Goals and empower minority and climate-affected communities. She has collaborated on solar farm projects doubling as pollinator sanctuaries and co-hosted Dallas’ first SRI conference with Texas Capital Bank.

As a writer and literary collaborator, her works include upcoming projects with Dr. Ervin Laszlo and Global Woman Magazine. She’s also leading a capital campaign for The Memnosyne Center for Outreach, which will feature AI-driven tools tracking UN SDGs. Honored with the 2021 ICON Award and keynote roles at global conferences, Mary Ann exemplifies visionary leadership. She will join Deepak Chopra and Emmanuel Jal at the 2023 Global Woman Summit, presenting on conscious business practices.
